You could call it former President George Bush's home away from home. But to get there, you won't have to jump onto any planes, trains or automobiles. Shireen Sandoval takes on a getaway to this Luxury Living lodge in the heart of the Keys.
(WSVN) -- It's only an hour-and-a-half drive from Miami, but once you step inside this Florida Keys resort, you feel like you're somewhere in the Caribbean.
This is the Cheeca Lodge and Club, a little slice of paradise on Islamorada.
Tim Estes Cheeca Lodge & Club Manager: We have literal oasis for them to just relax and getaway and it does not at all feel like the mainland, yet they are right here, close to Miami."
The Resort is undergoing a $15 million dollar renovation.
This waterfall lagoon and outdoor oasis are the newest additions.
Tim Estes: "We've done a million dollars just in the landscaping, adding water features, islands for private events and cabanas at our pool."
When it comes to top of the line, check out the George Bush presidential retreat.
The former president has stayed in this room every year for the last 10 years.
And when he's not here, it can be yours.
The suite's full of pictures and mementos from Bush's life -- from a pair of cowboy boots, to a pair of presidential cuff links.
Tim Estes: "It's a great looking room, oceanfront and it has quite a bit of memorabilia from President Bush. We have many, many other celebrities and personalities that enjoy the facilities and come here to getaway."
But you don't have to be a celebrity to make your trip a little more permanent.
Part of Cheeca Lodge is now going condo.

The condo hotel rooms are all being re-done -- inside you'll find everything from plasma TV's to state of the art kitchens.
Bill Dougherty: "The past Cheeca guests, people who haven't been here for a year or more are really going to find this a really pleasant surprise."
But the best part of this trip... If you don't want to drive down to the keys, the lodge even has its' own helicopter to fly guests down at a moment's notice.
